Components of Data Communication

Data Communication are the exchange of data between two devices via some form of transmission medium. It has five components :-

1. Message :- The message is the information to be communicated to the receiver.
2. Sender :– Sender is the device that sends the data message.
3. Receiver :– Receiver is the device that receives the message.
4. Transmission Medium :– It is a physical path by which a message travels from sender to receiver.
5. Protocol :– A protocol is a set of rules that governs communication of data. Without a protocol, two devices can not exchange data with each other.
