Self Motivation

notes of Artificial Intelligence for class 9 and 10, self management Skills

Self-motivation is the inner force that pushes us to achieve our goals, feel happy and improve our quality of life.

It means finding the drive to do things on your own without being pushed by others. It’s about wanting to achieve your goals, improve yourself, or complete tasks because you feel it’s important, not because someone else tells you to do.

Self-motivated is an inner urge to do something, achieve their goals without any external pressure/lure for award or appreciation.

For example:

  • Simran gets up at 5 a.m. and goes for her dance classes. Then she comes home and finishes her hoemwork before going to school. She does this all by herself.

Why Self-Motivation is Important?

  • Achieve Goals: Helps you stay focused and work hard to succeed.
  • Overcome Challenges: Keeps you going even when things get tough.
  • Build Confidence: Completing tasks on your own makes you feel capable and strong.
  • Stay Positive: Encourages you to keep trying, even after failures.

Types of Self Motivation

  1. Internal Motivation: (For own Love and Happiness) When we motivate ourself to make us happy, healthy and feel good, then this is known as Internal Motivation.
For example when you perform on any function and you like or feel good to practice hard to learn something new, such as dancing, singing, etc.
  2. External Motivation: (For Rewards) When we motivate ourself to earn rewards, fame, respect, appreciation etc. without the matter of our happiness, then this is known as External Motivation.
For example Ravi works hard to won the first prize in the Compitition.
